In case anyone is interested I solved this using the Windows Task Scheduler. I set up a daily recurring task with the action set to run which automatically deletes all files older than 31 days: forfiles /p "D:\Mail Enable\Logging" /s /m *.* /c "cmd /c Del @path" /d -31 It cleaned up the 20-30 gb of ...

I passed this to one of our devs and he came back with the following: There is a DFS Event Log and that logs replication errors – there are a few, but none coincide with the times of the failed emails.
