MySQL configuration Question

I've upgraded from Professional version to Enterprise, and am considering moving the configuration to MySQL (MariaDB) What configuration is moved to SQL, and what remains a tab file? I had Enterprise a number of years ago and I seem to recall that the greylisting and exceptions remain tab files? Wha...

List placeholder for Sender Email

Currently, the options for placeholders on lists show to be: [ME_POSTOFFICE] - post office name [ME_LIST] - the list name [ME_LISTADDRESS] - the email address of the list [ME_MEMBER_EMAIL], which expands to the mail recipient. I would like to propose a placeholder that expands to the mail sender ema...

does SMTP inbound access control also apply to IMAP?

Does the IP block list maintained under the SMTP service also apply to IMAP? If not, how does one block rogue IPs that try to log in (brute force login attempts, etc?) Also, it would be cool if the Mailenable Real-Time Activity monitor had a tab that was for the IMAP logs... Thanks a lot for a great...

Re: Restrict external domain ID's to send email to domain group addresses

I do this by using a list instead of a group, and you can then password protect the list.
(for instance the poster must then put [*password*] on the subject line to post)

At the very least you can limit a list such that only members of that list can post.

Re: New version 9 Greylisting exception by domain feature

From my testing it appears that you have to specify the entire subdomain.domain.tld so it's a literal match to anything after the "@"

Re: MailEnable vsn 9 new anti-spam features

Hello, Where Can I find location services? "2. I see the location services and block connections from any country other than. For MY server, all my authorized senders are local USA so I should only check the United States check box, correct? Does that control anything other than "authorized senders...

New version 9 Greylisting exception by domain feature

I have a question about greylisting exception by domain. How much of the domain does it match? For instance, ncas.us-cert.gov - what happens if I enter just us-cert.gov? Sub-domains change often, but not so much the actual domain. I haven't found any FAQ regarding how this works. Thanks for any guid...

MailEnable vsn 9 new anti-spam features

Hi! I'm trying to understand and enable the new anti-spam features from version 9.0 I specify MY server a lot here because each server will have its own population and therefore its own requirements. 1. EHLO blocking - is this an exact match string? Does it require the double-quotes as the example? ...

Trouble using renewed certificate

I had to renew my certificate yesterday, and I've been able to get the new version to work with webmail, but apparently not with mailenable itself. When I try to select the certificate, I get the message .\IME_SYSTEM has to have access. However, I have followed the instructions I've found and IME_SY...

Drop folder not delivering to Bcc: ?

I don't know whether to post this here or in the "Developer's" forum (since I programmatically generate notification emails) I have a function in my programs that I write that create an email to "inject" into our corporate email server to give counts of records processed, etc. In my old versions of ...

Re: Injecting .MAI files back into the queues

I had no idea there was a new mmc. However, trying to open the new mmc gives me : MMC could not create the snap-in

I even tried run as administrator.

Re: Injecting .MAI files back into the queues

My "services and connectors" menu items are separate - Connectors and later down the tree Services (SMTP is under Connectors, and not Services)
Couldn't upload my screen shot, though.

Re: Injecting .MAI files back into the queues

Interesting. Of course, I have had MailEnable for many versions now, but my tree is different than you say, and there isn't a field
for a drop folder on the general tab of the SMTP Properties page.

I have a screen shot I am going to upload.

Thanks!

Re: Injecting .MAI files back into the queues

Well, I am running Windows 2008 and don't have a Program Files (x86) folder.

I do have Program Files\Mailenable\QUEUES\SMTP\Inbound\ folder which contains a Messages folder, but not a Drop folder.
