Re: SSL for standard edition? Stunnel.org ??

Since there have been no responses to this post I can only assume that either no one has implemented SSL on the mailenable standard edition, or that anyone who has is not reading this forum. Is this because it doesn't work or no one has seen the need? That's pretty hard to believe. I am not familia...

Re: Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

Yeah I tried it. I added my domain to the safe sender list. My SMTP logs still show successful sending...but hotmail receives nothing. Not even to junk. WTF. They suck. I'm not on any black list and my domain tests out awesome on every test that I use. Hotmail is not giving me any reason as to why ...

It could be. You will have to check.

Re: Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

I completely forgot about this post ...Got caught up trying to research my issue. Has anyone found anything? So you sent test mail to your own hotmail account through an account on your mailenable machine, and these logs show it being accepted by hotmail for delivery. However the test mail is not e...

Re: Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

I see your point. Verizon has multiple Verizon sites which state opposing information, which they refuse to address even when the URL is presented to them. And each of those pages with opposing information was posted by different people most of which have retired. It's a helluva thing, isn't it? Pr...

Re: Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

Your statements seem to be limited to finite experiences. This is not a negative dig, but just a comment that there is a bigger world out there... Qwest who is not generally known to be the best ISP out there has a self-service portal for their business DSL service that allows/facilitate the settin...

Re: Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

If it is a business account, then get a hold of your business account manager for assistance. Chances are, there is an automated self-service portal that just needs to be communicated. I suspect if I could find anyone like that at ATT I would find they would be *more* than happy to set me up with a...

Re: Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

Most ISPs will update their rDNS for their business account IPs. The other possible solution may be to host your own DNS, but then that would typically require at least two DNS servers. For a T1 line, of course, you order the rDNS you need. But if you host mail for a number of domains don't you hav...

Re: Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

"is not a valid method of filtering spam" You have every right to your opinion, but it is used quite frequently by government systems. The simple solution is to smarthost through a properly configured relay (e.g. your ISP's relays). I am doing that, because even though I have had the very same stat...

Re: Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

That particular warning, Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner is not a valid method of filtering spam. I can't believe Hotmail does that. There are millions of mailservers that send and receive mail for multiple domains, and the SMTP Banner is gonna be what it is. I set my SMTP banner to...

SSL for standard edition? Stunnel.org ??

I found a couple of solutions for SSL on the standard mailenable edition. i64pop3connector http://www.informatica64.com/I64POP3Connector.aspx but that is all in spanish. Well, the site is. The software supposedly isn't. It seems to be from 2006. Maybe not in active development. I didn't try it. Stun...

Corrupt attachments, still

This is a windows 2000 server with mailenable standard, on my home dsl line. I am still having occasional corrupt attachments. I just sent two attachments and one was received corrupt, not openable. These were both .pdf files. One arrived ok, 178k, the other was 66k and was corrupt, both were attach...
