Improved Performance with SSD

I am contemplating use of a Solid State Drive (SSD) to improve ME performance as we host several large e-lists. I have read the ME KB about moving the post-offices to another drive, but I suspect that this will not help general SMTP performance, queuing, etc. What are the other folders/files that sh...

Migrated System.Net.Mail not sending to non-local addr

I have a .NET developed .EXE application which runs as scheduled task from command line. It uses System.Net.Mail with client.Host = "127.0.0.1". It ran fine on a Server 2012, sending to both local and remote addresses. When we migrated to a different Server 2012, only those addressed to local accoun...

List Server Commands

ME Ent 8.52 - when list members submit an e-mail with either "help" or "help?" in subject line, all they receive is shown below. The ME documentation does not say what commands are supported either. My fundamental question is whether a moderator or sysadmin can get a list of current subscribers with...

Re: Forgotten Password Recovery still supported Ver 8.52?

Thanks Ian. The option must have gotten reset with last upgrade, and I was unable to find it.

Viewing Bad Passwords

I have a customer whose mailbox is apparently being hammered occasionally, it appears to be from his office IP, and every 2-3 seconds. After a few attempts, My policies shut down his mailbox and block that IP for all his other internal employees. I know IP addresses can be easily spoofed, and was wo...

Forgotten Password Recovery still supported Ver 8.52?

I no longer see the forgotten password recovery setup under options -> General. Has this feature been eliminated?

Re: List Server compatibility with Yahoo's new DMARC policy

AOL has joined the strict DMARC enforcement ranks. This means that any ME mailbox that redirects to an AOL account will simply bounce all emails from another AOL user. And Yahoo. A solution is desperately needed.

Re: meadmin error after move to new server

I just upgraded from 8.51 to 8.52 and have the same problem. Starting MEadmin error shows: Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'FreeTextBox' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. Source Error: Line 8: <!-- This Handler is required for the FreeTextBo...

Re: System Messages - Abuse detected

A nice addition to ME would be to count the number of times that offending IP has triggered an abuse message, and show that count parenthetically next to the offending IP. e.g. Value: Abuse detected from 80.117.25.71 by [SMTP] for root (132 times) This would be a more useful message and the sysadmin...

Re: New Yahoo DMARC Rules

Q1 - Is anybody at MailEnable listening?

Q2 - What are you going to do, Kelly?

I am just about to migrate servers, and may abandon ME if this is not resolved - or at least addressed - by ME staff!

New Yahoo DMARC Rules

All my ME e-lists will no longer accept messages when the sender has a Yahoo account. Senders must comply with http://dmarc.org/ How can I address this issue, or will ME be issuing a patch or update?

Read Receipt sent to wrong sender

I have a customer that claims when one of his employees sends an e-mail with read receipt request, that when message is opened the read receipt is sent to a different employee. The other employee is not copied or mentioned on the original message. I have verfied no redirects are involved.

iMac running OX 10.6.8 unable print from web mail

Customer says it did fine up until a week ago. We have not recently upgraded our ME Ent, but perhaps some other Mac-aholic has an idea?

How to Modify Text "Disk Space Available"

I have had several customer complaints as this WebMail startup phrase is interpreted as "Disk Space CURRENTLY Available". I found this string in the bin/WebMail=Mondo.net-tokens.map file, but changing this string to "Disk Space Limit" has no affect. Is there another place I can change this misleadin...

Auto Unsubscribe bad List Server Entries

I am currently configured so if any list subscriber's address is bad/undeliverable, those bounced messages go into the Bad Mail folder. I age off Bad Mails on a periodic basis to keep down the size. Some of my larger lists now have many bad addresses as the recipients have moved on. Thus any post to...
