Thanks, Ian - that last tidbit gave me the info I needed! It looks like that fixed it - I saw a log entry that says: 06/30/09 23:38:43 SMTP-IN 02A8B51C025B462FA6F4AE609D17FE19.MAI 1324 216.34.181.88 QUIT STARTTLS 220 Ready to start TLS 24 0 [IPCop-user] Connect Disconnect and Idle So it looks like T...

I applied the registry permissions, then downloaded the windows tool.
Unfortunately I was stymied as I set out to find the name of the certificate
to give the permissions to.

the -l (list) command didn't list any certs.

Thanks!

Thanks, Ian -
I guess at the heart of the matter is I don't have a certificate
for mail, just for www.

So, I think I need to obtain a certificate for mail services, right?

There aren't any certificates in my registry key that I can see.

Thanks!

Hi, Ian -

No, I'm sorry, that didn't fix it. It still happens after downloading the official copy.

Hi - I see this in the SMTP logs. Here's a transaction: 06/27/09 02:37:15 SMTP-IN 0741FE23C38D40D2A3EE4F06B0959577.MAI 1200 216.34.181.88 EHLO EHLO lists.sourceforge.net 250-laughingj.local [216.34.181.88], this server offers 5 extensions 159 28 06/27/09 02:37:15 SMTP-IN 0741FE23C38D40D2A3EE4F06B095...

How can I reduce spam?

I've got bayesian turned on, but it doesn't show a lot of activity. Now, my mail server doesn't get a lot of mail to start with, but I am finding more and more spam creeping into my mailbox - stuff that I would think that either RBL or bayesian should catch. That leads me to wonder if I have things ...

Hi, Ian -

Well, your suggestion didn't work either.
The log shows "no users" so it doesn't find
anyone to send the email to.

Is there a test facility for this? I hate to test
to a list of 1k+ users.

I also need to get this working asap. I may
have to use a support ticket...

Thanks!

List from Data Source

I'm trying to create a list that uses a SQL database for the entries. I created a System DSN (using SQL Server Native Client 10.x) pointing to the database and the table. DSN name: Educators Description: (blank) SERVER: CURLY/SQLEXPRESS With Integrated Windows Authentication And Connect to SQL Serve...

whitelist questions and possible bug?

I thought that if I sent an email to a person that they should be placed on the whitelist - i.e. no greylisting, etc for their future email to me. What I have found is that if I send email to one of my lists, the people on the list are apparently not whitelisted. They are at least still greylisted w...

Suggestions on Lists

I'd like to see a user on a list that can send email to the list, but doesn't receive email back. For instance, I get an email update that I would like the list to receive, but not the original emailer. I like having the list require membership prior to being able to send an email - helps a lot with...

Suggestions on System Overview

1. Maybe a "total uptime" for the services? Seems easy to me. 2. (A little more difficult) - Maybe a count of all the messages that have been greylisted. Presumably this would tell me how truly busy my server is, and show management how effective greylisting is as an anti-spam tool. Thanks a lot for...
