Re: Activesync licensing question

When you upgrade a license and you are within the period, best to contact our sales persons for the upgrade cost. Normally it can be discounted so you are credited for the unused period.

Re: Suggestions Blocking Spammers when SMTP is Load Balanced

Since the sending IP address is the same, there isn't really an easy way you can prevent the authentication attempt, since there is not much information know about the connection before the auth attempt. What you could do is prevent any authentication on port 25. So only allow authentication attempt...

Re: local mail server to web hosting mail server interconnection

I don't think there is a way you can do this with the Standard version. It will not sync your local mailboxes with a remote server. The Professional and Enterprise version does allow you to retrieve email from a remote mailbox to a local one, but it uses the POP protocol so it will only retrieve the...

Re: ClamAV times out

The ClamAV that is installed with MailEnable runs as a service and we pass it the message file to check. You can check it is working ok through a command prompt. Open a prompt, navigate to the ClamAV directory and you can use the clamdscan.exe to scan a file like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\...

Re: Illegal PostOffice Name

Hi, The message is shown if the postoffice name has a space in it. It must be that it is allowing this in the install program. If you have just installed and there are no other postoffices and no data, it is easiest to just delete the contents of the Mail Enable\Config and Mail Enable\Postoffices di...

Re: MESNOOP utility not working

Hi, Are you running it as an administrator? Look at the MTA settings in the administration program, as when you save the settings it should have added and enabled a pickup event. If you run the MESNOOP program again it should load the previous settings, if not then it is likely it was not run as an ...

Re: Multiple SSL Certificates

Hi, If SNI is enabled, then you don't need to select any certificate. The services will just look up the certificate for the domain the client request in the Windows certificate store and try to use it. If a matching certificate cannot be found then it will fall back to using the one selected in the...

Yes, sorry, you can edit the file directly, and the SMTP service does not need restarting.

Re: Graylisting with O365 Mailboxes

Hi, Office365 I think has over 500k IPs valid in their range, so it's not possible to whitelist them individually, and there is no CIDR exceptions available for greylisting. What you need to do is to add the domains themselves to the whitelist for greylisting, since it will use their SPF record to v...

Re: Policies Tab removed from mailenable 10.20

Hi, Did the page disappear immediately when you unselected it? Or did you close/reopen the administration program? Is it still missing when you reopen the admin program? When the page is shown depends on the licensing, it is checking for either the Enterprise version or version 8 or later of Profess...

Re: License Issue on Attachments

Hi, The modified date looks incorrect. Is that in the Mail Enable\bin and bin64 path? There should be two of the files on the server, but only 2 and their modified date should be when you installed it. Having an old modified date means that the files are not being replaced on installation. You could...

Re: License Issue on Attachments

Hi, This usually means either a reboot is required after the upgrade, since it was not able to replace a file during installation, or that there is a DLL from an older version somewhere on the server still, that it is picking up (in a path that exists in the PATH environment variable). Search for th...

Re: ME Tray Statistics not resetting

Hi,

I've raised the issue for fixing, but the problem looks to be that some items are not being reset on restart of the SMTP service. You can reset these manually by editing the values in the registry branch:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Connectors\SMTP\Counters
