Re: Filtering SPAM in MailEnable
It would had been nice if ME could had bought out MXSCan before they went out of business. Although some features were the same, there are a LOT of benefits MXScan has with their spam filtering including adjusting it for in and outbound messages, per post office levels, better whitelist and black li...

Re: webmail display error on 10.23
Try using the Default skin to see if that helps. If you have not used it before, your users may like the more streamlined look.

Re: Mails vanishing and not showing up in Inbox
Check the MTA logs and also check the MXScan (if you are using that) logs. Are you looking in the webmail or in Outlook? Have you gone to the actual user's folder (Windows Explorer) to see what is there? Sometimes the index files need to be deleted and that can make the emails come back. I also reco...

DNS Blacklisting
I assume that the DNS blacklisting scans both incoming and outgoing emails against those blacklists. How can I have it scan only inbound and not outbound in case one of my clients happens to be on a blacklist (their office IP or whatever)?

It should offer an option for IMAP/POP3.

Re: Security Suggestion
I agree with your suggestion and allow me to pose this situation in agreement with what I went through this past week. Mobile device travels all day and covers maybe 60+ miles in a circle eventually back to origin. In that time, there may had been 10-15 different towers each providing their own IP a...

Re: Disappearing emails
UPDATE: I have had to turn off Bayesian because for some reason it was deleting SEVERAL (from two customers who reported, so no telling how much more) good emails because of their subject. I am still concerned that SORBS may be an issue and either I am getting some spam in that used to be blocked be...

Re: Disappearing emails
Concerning the first issue mentioned, PTR was enabled and because gmail does not do that and anyone hosting with those providers don't have PTR records it was causing the emails to not be sent or received (as far as I know of). Which then this means that all the spam filtering does it in and out and...

Avast Antivirus
Avast does very well with spam filtering and seems to be lightweight. I would like to see some of the outdated antivirus solutions removed from ME and using new ones like Eset, Avast, etc.

Spam filtering
I would like to see Sanesecurity, DCC, country filtering, spamassasign, backscatter, and senderbase introduced and implemented into the ME software. If those features are in it, please provide documentation. It would also be nice if some of the filtering can be done not only globally but can be over...

Re: MEIMAPS.EXE Crashing frequently - Need Solution
We run easily close to 100 concurrent connections. Most of our users use IMAP only for both their Outlook and their smartphones. The key is disk-seek time due to email being moved from folder to folder and some users--unfortunately--store GB of email in their inbox which makes the index files work h...

For each post office you can set it to purge emails in the inbox, sent, junk, and deleted folders after X number of days. Just go to the properties.

Re: Security Suggestion
If you have emails leaving your server with no domain or mailbox that you actually have, then you have your SMTP properties set to open so anyone can use your server to send email through. You need to set it up where only authenticated users (providing a legit email address and valid password) can s...

Re: MEIMAPS.EXE Crashing frequently - Need Solution
I concur that you need to be running the newest version and release. There were many issues resolved and improvements made in the newer version. I know it seems to be a cost issue, but it is either lose money in the expense of the ME license or lose business due to a bad server.
