Re: SPAM with error 551 This mail server requires authentication before sending mail from a locally hosted domain.
The error message is used in the SMTP conversation, no email is sent containing this, but bounce messages generated by the sending server may do so. So if it is a bounce email, it could be generated by either your server, or a remote server. You'd need to check where the emails came from in order to...

Re: Error 550 relay not permitted
The error "relay not permitted" is not text we return in SMTP, but the SMTP service will respond with a 550 error if the sender does not have permission to relay through the server. This is normally because the client is not authenticating to send email. So under your SMTP settings in your email cli...

Re: Webmail Connections
If you can access on the server but not remotely it may be either to the DNS resolution, or that you have a firewall that is not directing the request correctly. Check to see what IP internally the domain resolves to and what it does externally. If the login page can be accessed directly from extern...

Re: Server 20222
Yes, the installation works fine on Windows 2022. Are you running as administrator when installing? Is an AV program possibly interfering with the install? There should be an install log in the Mail Enable\Bin directory (not just the MEInstall.log) which is called INSTALL-PROFESSIONAL.LOG which may ...

Re: End of Life - Outlook COM-Add-Ins replacement
The new Outlook for Windows is currently more a replacement for the Windows Mail and calendar apps, which did not have the COM add-ins, and does not support MAPI. There is no clear indication from Microsoft about when the classic Outlook for Windows will be replaced and COM/MAPI ability removed. It ...

Re: MailEnable Wildcard ALL inbound Email? (IE, *@*.*)
You could do this by setting the same mailbox as the catchall for each domain that you add. So when you add a domain you configure the same mailbox to collect the email. You still need to add each domain though, in order for the mail server to accept email for it. And the domains need to be under th...

Re: New version of Outlook can no longer add IMAP accounts where the IMAP login name is anything other than the email ad
In the Professional or Enterprise versions of MailEnable, you can handle this under the Auth Policies setting (https://www.mailenable.com/documentation/10.0/Professional/NewTopic2.html). In the admin program, expand the Servers branch, right click on the localhost icon and select Properties from the...

Re: Could not find start point in logs
This means it has not found the point in the log files where the message was picked up from the queue and split into the domains it needs to send to. It is looking in the logs for when the send attempts start. To workaround this problem, get the creation date of the item in the queue and then search...

Re: MTADeliverMessage
The line indicates that the COM event plugin is enabled, but is not set. It might be logged if Plesk has enabled a plugin, but it is not specified (maybe this happens through one of their configuration options). You can ignore the message, it does not mean there is a problem, or you can disable the ...

Re: Spam filter on mail alias it does not work
Thanks for the further logs. The problem is that redirection is done before the spam action is done. You can see the order of processing at: https://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/article.asp?ID=ME020716 I think the only workaround would be to check for the header in a postoffice level filter (if usi...

Re: iCalendar file is published with 0 byte file size
From a client, if you are using iCalendar publishing you either need to access a published ICS file or access the calendar folder entries. So if you are accessing the calendar folder, and use a URL like: http://localhost:8080/calendars/mailbox@postoffice When doing this it converts the calendar entr...

Re: From 1 to 2 CPUs
If you have version 10.47 installed and have it licensed, changing CPU count will not require any change of license. If you have an earlier version you will need to retrieve an updated license key (https://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/article.asp?ID=ME020267). This does not require any payment.

Re: Xeams spam filter
Xeams is on another server? Not the MailEnable server? Not sure I understand what you mean by getting users to login to webmail. You forward from Xeams to the SMTP service. The webmail is different and if externally they are going to Xeams admin login you'll need to give more details about your conf...
