[SOLVED] Problem send message to "Multiple A-Records"-Server

Post by tschneider » Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:39 pm

hi,
i have a problem sending a email to an address, which has multiple A-Records:

ME shows following View-send-history of SMTP QUEUE:
11/20/12 17:42:33 ME-IXXXX: [FD5FD406AA81495C9E1859B3531BED95.MAI] DNS resolved to the following record: IP Address=93.184.128.147, Family=2, Type=1, Protocol=6
11/20/12 17:42:34 ME-E0038: [FD5FD406AA81495C9E1859B3531BED95.MAI] Communications Error: Socket connection to relay.it.nrw.de failed (error 10061). The host was either not contactable or it rejected your connection. Socket Family = 2; Host=93.184.128.147; Port=25
11/20/12 17:42:34 ME-E0059: [FD5FD406AA81495C9E1859B3531BED95.MAI] Message Delivery Failure. Attempt (3): Could not connect to mail server for domain (it.nrw.de). The remote mail server could not be contacted at this time. Message has been requeued.

And the Debug Logging shows:
11/20/12 01:00:28 ME-I0123: Domain [bezreg-koeln.nrw.de] has MX list [relay.it.nrw.de,relay1.it.nrw.de,relay2.it.nrw.de]
11/20/12 01:00:28 ME-I0026: [396BCDEF0EF54AA09C3B77E4EFBBEBEB.MAI] Sending message
11/20/12 01:00:28 ME-IXXXX: [396BCDEF0EF54AA09C3B77E4EFBBEBEB.MAI] DNS resolved to the following record: IP Address=93.184.128.147, Family=2, Type=1, Protocol=6
11/20/12 01:00:29 ME-E0038: [396BCDEF0EF54AA09C3B77E4EFBBEBEB.MAI] Communications Error: Socket connection to relay.it.nrw.de failed (error 10061). The host was either not contactable or it rejected your connection. Socket Family = 2; Host=93.184.128.147; Port=25
11/20/12 01:00:29 ME-E0059: [396BCDEF0EF54AA09C3B77E4EFBBEBEB.MAI] Message Delivery Failure. Attempt (6): Could not connect to mail server for domain (bezreg-koeln.nrw.de). The remote mail server could not be contacted at this time. Message has been requeued.

as you can see, that ME stucks on first A-Record because of not connectable, but than it does not try to use 2nd or 3rd A-Record address (releay1.it.nrw.de or relay2.it.nrw.de), why?

i tired to use "nslookup -q=mx it.nrw.de" and this works
So how can i solve this issue?

best regards

thomas
