Can't send or receive emails

We use Mailwasher to filter emails, that seems to check for emails ok but doesn't list any emails as coming in, normally we go through those and then send receive using WIndows Live Mail, but we are not receiving any emails, and can't send any either, when we try to send it says connecting, finding host, bar doesn't move then error

The connection to the server has failed.

We've tried logging into our account on http://inspirationaltechnology.co.uk/ME ... sys/client. but that is empty too when we know people have been emailing us??

We've tried our various email accounts and none are working.

Any idea's?

Hi,

Are you able to telnet to the MailEnable server on port 25? From looking at the failure it reports 10060 error which indicates a timeout when connecting and points to a firewall blocking the inbound connection.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for your reply.

I should of come back on later that day as all of a sudden it was working normally again on all accounts that use that server so it must of been a server issue.
