Using DKIM signing with ME relay (Issue with OOF)

Post by t-ict » Mon Aug 13, 2018 3:05 pm

Hi All,

We are using MailEnable Standard 10.18 as our outbound relay server for our on-premise Exchange 2016 (multi-tenant) environment.
We recently enabled DKIM signing on the ME server for 1 domain. We created postoffice for the sending domain, setup the DKIM settings and DNS records and everything is working like a charm!

However last week we got a DMARC report that DKIM was failing for a domain where DKIM was enabled. After investigation we noticed that this was a OOF message from the user mailbox, generated on the Exchange 2016 mailbox.
We can see the OOF message going through the ME server (relay) but it doesn't getting signed with DKIM. Normal messages do get signed from that domain.

Anyone knows why?

Thank u
