Group problem with multiple domain single postoffice

Post by dpowell3854 » Sat Jul 20, 2002 7:16 am

Lets say I have a post office setup called
ABC.COM
and the postoffice handles ABC.com and 123.com
If I setup a user user@ABC.com the user is given both email addressed (123 and ABC) and all works well.
Now if I setup a group called GROUP and pick ABC.COM as the Domain only group@abc.com will work not group@123.com
If I try and add group@123.com the first time it will go through the motions with no error but will never appear in the list. If you try and load it again you receive a message saying
'the group address is already being used in postoffice ABC.com (Mapped to: [SF:ABC.COM/group]).
Is there any way around this or do I need to stop using `aliases; and setup each domain as it's own postoffice.

Thanks much.

Currently group names have to be unique within a post office (not the group address, but the name). Therefore you can't have "group@ABC.com" and "group@123.com" in the same post office. The admin program should tell you this, but it doesn't. We're looking into ways to fix this. This is a restriction of the administration program, not the services. This same restriction applies to lists.
