[SOLVED] - Wrong version number, never see updates..

Post by marcotibben »

I just installed version Pro 6.60.. but my version number keeps saying enterprise 3.63.. (When starting mailenable, looking at the system overview, and checking the diagnostic report..)
I had enterprise 3.63 a long time ago and didnt think the version number would be important after downgrading and installing PRO 6.02 earlier, but i never get notifications of updates either..
So now i´m thinking it DOES matter..

Anybody any experience with this? Or knows how to reset/correct this?
Installing updates hasnt correct the problem this far..

Running on windows server 2003 R2 SP2, Mailenable PRO 6.60

Thanks!

Marco

Hi,

It sounds like there are registry entries that are present for the old version of Enterprise. Open Windows regedit and navigate to:

32bit OS: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mail Enable\Mail Enable
64bit OS: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable

If you see registry keys that point to the old version 3.63 Enterprise then delete them and then run the diagnostic report.
