I'm running 2.53 professional. Everything's been great up until now but the time has come to upgrade.
Our requirements are not complex so I think they can be met with the Standard version at the moment so our "upgrade" will be from 2.53 pro to 8.52 standard.
Ideally I'd like to run the new edition in parallel then migrate domains over once I'm sure I have everything configured correctly.
My plan was to initially run the SMTP, IMAP and POP services on different ports so that my production version (2.53) continues to operate normally while I get the new version (8.52) set up and tested using a certain domain.
I get how I would configure an email client to check for mail (via IMAP or POP) by specifying a different port but how would things work on the inbound side of thing? What I mean is, my DNS settings will allow the MX record to resolve to my server IP address but how do I specify which of the two Mailenable instances to deliver the incoming message to?
Cheers,
Mark.
