There are two timeouts that are used by WebMail. One is the session timeout and the other is the script timeout (which is probably the one you are interested in).

Instructions to set the script timeout follow:
1.. Open the Internet Services Manager. (On Windows 2000: Start|Programs|Administrative Tools Internet Services Manager).

2.. Under the default web site, you will see a Virtual Directory called MEWebMail. Right Click on this and select Properties.

3.. Under Application Settings, if the Application Name is disabled (greyed out), click Create.

4.. Click on Configuration and select the App Options tab.

5.. Change the ASP Timeout to the desired number of seconds (the default is 90 seconds).

6.. Click Apply and close all windows.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Andrew

No Problem - As you see this is more an IIS setting than a web app; we could change it in the script, but decided not to in order to keep it more generic. Cheers - Dave

session timeout

Where to change the timeout for the session ? Because sometimes it takes time to write an email, and when I send it... session expired ! Quite frustrating...

What about adding a timeout session param that whe can change in the option ?

Thanks

Chris

PS: Another option would be nice, is to set the default name that appear in the mail instead of the email address.
