We are a small organization namely XYZ private limited. We have installed local area network at our office. Email is our main communication tool. We have a following query:
1. Can Emails be delivered on the desk of the user without internet?
2. Which product is the cheaper and yet efficient?

There are four main Open Source mail transport agents, Postfix, Exim, Sendmail and also Qmail. I like Sendmail, it's horrible to put together, but once done you never need to touch the idea.
