MailEnable with no IMAP ? Drawbacks ?

Post by afrika » Sun Jul 29, 2012 11:04 pm

hiya guys,
I was reading up on mail enable, as we just installed DotNetControl Panel on our new server and understand it comes free.

However I heard it does not support IMAP ? Am wondering if this is a drawback in comparison to other mail servers and if it would run on smart phones.

I also understand it does not have a web based interface or interface for virus scanners ?

Wondering if it would match up to the likes of SM, which we currently use ?

please advise,
many thanks

You seem to have been misinformed!

Most versions of MailEnable include IMAP. (But the Standard / Free version of MailEnable does not include IMAP).

Also, all versions of MailEnable provide a webmail interface. Pro, Ent and Prem all provide extensive antivirus /antispam support.
Regards, Andrew
