Problems with Integrated Authentication (Active Directory)

Post by homerow »

Hi,

Trying out ME Std and I like what I see so far, but have come across some issues.

One, when you select 'Enable Integ. Auth', it seems to forget that it was checked when you press OK. But the options in the postoffices sections show up, so this probably is a config reading syntax error.

I have a postoffice (testing.local) set to integ auth, use this domain ".", auth. to ad, and create mailbox if it doesn't exist.

Everything works perfectly, you can login with the domain account and password, and read and send email.

The problem is: when you change your password on the domain (ctrl-alt-del), ME seems to retain the previous domain password and does not update.

It shouldn't be like this in the first place shouldn't it ? It should not bother keeping a password if it auth's to ad and always lookup the domain password when needed to.

If anybody can help get around this, this would be fantastic !

Thank you.

It may have to do with your postoffice.sys file, its possible it is missing a few required lines like >>

MappedDomainEnabled=1
MappedDomain=testing.local
WindowsAuthenticationEnabled=1
AllowIntegratedPasswordChanges=1

I would check there first.
