Option to disable greylisting when SPF passes

Post by ShawnKHall »

Frankly, I don't know if this is how it currently works or not, but I've got a client complaining about message delays from a "known good" sender (whose mail server randomly generates the 'from' header even for individual personal messages). I'm trying to find a happy medium from whitelisting an /18, whitelisting a specific otherwise-untrusted domain and minimizing abuse.

I'd like to have the ability to disable greylisting (iow, not impose greylisting) when the sender IP and from address are valid per the sender domain's SPF record...to a point. Ideally this would also allow scope controls, such as whether an SPF rule including +all or /8 (or some other ridiculous netrange) would be tolerated or have greylisting imposed. My personal preference would be to never trust +all and trust the SPF rule up to a /24, but nothing larger.

Thank you!
