Global address book

Post by vmiro55 »

Hi,
I'm unable to add contact information to global directory neither through properties of the mailbox in MMC console (Publish in global directory) nor in webmail (Show details in directory). In both cases, when I check that option, nothing happens...there is no entry in Directory. In the first case, when I open mailbox properties again, I found that option unchecked, although I checked it before. I didn't found any global setting for adding contacts in directory. Did I miss something?

Thanks

Anyone?
The operating system is Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. It has been used as the domain controller.

See if this post http://www.mailenable.com/documentation ... neral.html will help you http://www.mailenable.com/documentation ... ctory.html.

Now, unless you are using Enterprise Premium, this doesn't allow a global address book for Outlook, only the web mail. If you're wanting a global address book, try http://www.codetwo.com/public-folders/ from CodeTwo. It works great. The key is someone's computer has to be the global address book keeper, then everyone uses their list. Any changes are reflected on the main computer.

Thanks for reply ;)
I can add entry in the global directory by manually adding it through ME MMC console, but the email users cannot add their information by checking the option "Show details in directory" through webmail, I mean, they can check (there is an option) but nothing happens, the info is not available in global address book. The webmail users can use global address book with no problem, but can't add their contact information in it.

Thanks
