LDAP services were working fine under the previously installed version 8.03.
Since nothing else on the system has changed this looks very much like a bug.
Regular MELDAP failure with 8.51
Re: Regular MELDAP failure with 8.51
me too, at least once
Re: Regular MELDAP failure with 8.51
Check your windows services under administrative tools.
When I upgraded to 8.50, it went from "start automatically" to "manual" and every reboot, LDAP service would not start. Not sure if your problem is similar, but when I changed it back to "start automatically" the problem went away.
I haven't braved the upgrade to 8.51 yet, waiting for next weekend.

Re: Regular MELDAP failure with 8.51
Tks: it's not the service startup type. This is a failure some [variable] time after the service starts.

Re: Regular MELDAP failure with 8.51
I've changed mine from Manual to Automatic and Restart Service after failure. But I also noticed that this and a few services run under .\IME_SYSTEM versus Local System. Which is better (performance) and more secure?

Re: Regular MELDAP failure with 8.51
Am now also finding that the ME Indexing service refuses to respond correctly to a "restart all" command within the ME console.
Looking at it right now in the services console: the Indexing Service has been in a "stopping" state for the last hour. Only fix is a reboot. This is not the first time this has happened.
