Result: [9DE5592C40D84691BE2A2D8764911E1D.MAI] was not routed from the SMTP inbound message queue by the local MTA Service. This most likely means that the message was not completely recieved by the connector.
Important: Message ID [9DE5592C40D84691BE2A2D8764911E1D.MAI] does not seem to have been routed through MailEnable queues (an error most likely occured when receiving this message).

i am using only virus scan spam filter is not enabled. mxlog shows this.

19:20:17 9DE5592C40D84691BE2A2D8764911E1D_ --> Start Scan for xxx.com (VirusCheck=True, GlobalSpam/FilterCheck=False)
19:20:17 9DE5592C40D84691BE2A2D8764911E1D_ IncomingIP = 161.51.8.52
19:20:18 9DE5592C40D84691BE2A2D8764911E1D_ ClamAV Scan Result : Clean
19:20:18 9DE5592C40D84691BE2A2D8764911E1D_ Completed in 1 sec(s) with FilterResult=BYPASS
19:20:18 9DE5592C40D84691BE2A2D8764911E1D_ Global [AntiSpam & Content Filtering] has been Disabled.

but after scan mta doesnt route to message to post office connector.

any idea?

The logs do not sow any obvious errors, assuming you have taken note of some of the considerations as stated in the readme.rtf file I cannot see any obvious errors. If you also enable the Spam Filter (in addition to the AV) does this make any difference?

Wihtout going into specifics, this is by design. Messages are moved to a processing folder by MxScanME and then processed by the MxScanEngine.exe and moved back to the spool folder for delivery by MailEnable. If the original (without underscore) is not routed back it would mean that :

1. Message had hit a FilterAction - quarantine, delete, etc as such a move is not warrented
2. Message was locked by another process preventing a move (in this case you will see errors in the mxscan-service log files)

Hi there,
Seem to be having a problem with clamd.exe crashing with the following in the event log:

Faulting application clamd.exe, version 0.96.3.0, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.2.3790.4480, fault address 0x0002c427.

It seems to happen a few times a day, at different times. No pattern that i can see.

I have updated to MXScan 2.3.100 a couple of weeks ago, but its still happening, any ideas?

Cheers,
James

If you have DEP enabled, you can try setting it to only "Essential programs and services only"

That is the Setting DEP is already on, any other thoughts?

Is there any other logging i should be using to try and track down whats causing this? Never had a problem with MXScan before and im really not sure what could have caused this to start happening as the server isnt used for anything else and very little is ever touched on it.

Regards,
James

ClamAV is an external program and separately maintained. Depending on the how the newer builds are compiled and the updates the server receives you could ocassionally encounter issues like these.

Contact us offline preferably via the ticketing system and we can send you a link to a newer release of ClamD
