Hello,
I wasn't sure how to phrase the subject however here is the situation:
A server, say 111.222.333.444, is running both a website, say example.com, and MailEnable. The MX record for example.com does not point to 111.222.333.444 as Example Company host their mail elsewhere and for various reasons the website cannot authenticate and send mail via the true mailserver.
The server is validated to send mail from example.com via the SPF record. What is the correct configuration in MailEnable to allow the web process to send mail from this domain?
I should note this is running Enterprise edition with SMTP connector settings which require 'Authenticated senders must use valid sender address'. We wish to be able to send from example.com to any mailbox including the 'true' example.com mailboxes.
Currently I receive a "Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable or not local".
Many Thanks
