Postoffice connector error

Post by vtalamo »

Hi all,

we have been using for several years Mailenable Pro 7.53. Unfortunately, since a week, randomly, we are unable to receive some emails.

Looking at log files, we found this error message in SF\POC-Debug-DDMMYY.log file:

08/28/19 16:11:11 Message F82672E8D75645E4B50D9CF409B72FA9.MAI locked for delivery.

The previous message is addressed to a mailbox redirecting to 8 local recipients; none of them receive the message.

I said "randomly" because the issue doesn't occur always but affects just some emails.

We are not able to understand which is the filter removing the message. To get some more infos, we set the registry key "Debug log level" to 10 but this didn't help us.

Please could anyone help us?

Thank you very much,
Vittorio.

Hi,

Check the SF activity log file and look for the same message ID.

Hi,

thank you for your reply.

I got this line from SF debug log file:

08/30/19 03:00:03 [3B27BDF5BC2849978DD654183CD81818.MAI] Message processing error occured when delivering to PO=intermedia2000.com the original message was unexpectedly removed by a filter.

Then, as you suggested me, I looked at SF activity log file for this string: 3B27BDF5BC2849978DD654183CD81818 but, it doesn't exist in the file.

In last days, analyzing the issue, I saw the message .MAI file in SF/Outgoing/Messages folder for undelivered messages, always remains in the folder (Mailenable never delete it). Instead, the related command .MAI file in SF/Outgoing folder is always deleted.

Thank you for any suggestion.
Vittorio

Hi,

The logs report "the original message was unexpectedly removed by a filter." You will need to inspect the "Message Filter" log files and search for that message ID to see which filter removed the message. The filer log files are located under: Servers > Localhost > Extensions > Message Filter > Logs > Filter. Open the log file for the same date/time as the SF log and search for the message ID.

Hi,

I looked at the file you suggested me, MTAFILTER-Report-YYMMDD.log. But in this file I see no messages ID but always the same line "Reloading filters due to change." three or four times per minute.

Please did you consider this sentence in my previous post?

"In last days, analyzing the issue, I saw the message .MAI file in SF/Outgoing/Messages folder for undelivered messages, always remains in the folder (Mailenable never delete it). Instead, the related command .MAI file in SF/Outgoing folder is always deleted."

Thank you very much,
Vittorio

Hi,

Check both the MTA activity and debug log files for the same message ID.
