ME Enterprise on Win Server 2012

Post by garyafromoz »

We currently run Enterprise on Win 2008 R2 and are considering replacing our server and OS with Win Server 2012 Essentials or Standard sometime this year. Has enterprise been qualified to run on either of these OS's? Anything else I should be aware of?

I got the same Question.
We have just renew our AUP for the Enterprise Premium edition. and want to move it to a new server with WIndows 2012 Essential.

It would be great if someone knows the answer for this, so I can start migrating.

I currently have ME Enterprise deployed on Server 2012 Essentials, it was migrated from an old ME server to this one as a clean install....

Let me tell you, it is not worth the headaches. Never mind that 2012 is a pain to begin with, don't even try to work with the Essentials version. I did thinking I was saving myself $400, but am in the process of doing another fresh swap to 2012 Standard. Essentials is the replacement for Windows SBS and automatically makes itself a domain controller and a host of other things that only cause problems for MailEnable.

Just my $0.02

What about running on 2012 64bit? The install fails for us and we are trying to do a migration.
