Archiving in Outlook 2013 not clearing email off server

Archiving in Outlook 2013 not clearing email off server

My mailbox had grown very large 6.x GB which was causing problems with webmail loading so I decided to archive via Outlook 2013. I ran the archive but the changes aren't syncing back to webmail.

I also noticed that anything I add to Outlook like calendar items isn't synching back to server or other devices.

I also noticed an index.xml.bad dated from a couple of days ago in my Inbox folder which is when I was experiencing some sync and webmail problems.

Any ideas?
