The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) is implying that they will be requiring us to implement a more strict password policy for our franchisees emails. (yes, the FTC governs how franchise operations work, including technology) Part of this policy involves requiring them to reset every X days. This does not mean all of them need to reset on the same day, but every X days from their last password reset. How is this possible in Mail Enable? This isn't a maybe feature, they are pretty much saying it will be mandatory for us in the near future.
Just fyi there are more stipulations, such as:
- we must always leave the passwords encrypted (NEVER FOR ANY REASON UNENCRYPTING THEM)
- It must be automated, there is now way on earth for us to manually do this.
- have evidence that this is being done
Is there an option somewhere that I am missing?
