How to prevent a MailEnable server sending auto responders to messages that have been marked as spam.
When a message is delivered to a mailbox that has an auto responder configured, the auto responder is actioned on all messages. The post office connector does not distinguish which folder messages are destined for (e.g. junk mail) therefore, all mail received is auto-responded to.
Note: List server and system generated messages are not auto-responded to.
The solution to prevent auto responders actioning on mail destined for the Junk E-Mail folder is to create a registry key, the steps to complete this are outlined below;
1. Backup the registry
2. Create the following registry key with a value of 0 - HKeyLocalMachine->Software->MailEnable->MailEnable->Connectors->SF->Auto Respond To Junk Mail
