SYMPTOMS

Error REG-002 when trying to register MailEnable.

CAUSE

This error can be returned if the user that is logged on does not have permission to write following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Registration

Value Name= License Key
Value Type = REG_SZ

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, ensure that the user that is logged in is an Adminsistrator, or  logged in with an account with the necessary rights to access this registry key.
