MELBOURNE – AUSTRALIA (12th April 2007)  MailEnable Improves Application Security by Releasing a Lockdown Utility

MailEnable has improved the security and reliability of its mail server product suite by providing a Lockdown Utility that reduces the level of access that MailEnable has to system resources.

The MailEnable Lockdown Utility allows MailEnable to be configured as a ‘hardened’ installation. The utility specifically excludes MailEnable’s services from being able to access sensitive services that could potentially be used as a result of exploitation.

The MailEnable Lockdown utility is free and available for all Standard, Professional and Enterprise Edition users (both Version 1 and Version 2). The ‘hardened’ installation will be included in all future versions as the default configuration.
