URGENT - listed by SpamCop caused by mailenable ?

Hi, Over the past couple of months we started picking up listings from SpamCop and mail is being blocked to some ISP's - we've looked into it and it's not caused by our users spamming but rather it looks like it's being caused by the way Mailenable handles bounced mail ? The spam cop listing says : ...

How can I ban forwarding to AOL ?

Hi, We're running into the problem faced by many in that we have customers forwarding their mail from their mailenable mailbox on our mail server to their AOL account. When spam gets forwarded they mark it as spam in their AOL mail client and AOL promptly marks our mailenable server as the spammer (...

Sorry, I don't understand - why are you pointing me at a beta page that states it's not for commercial use (?)

Is it available in the current product (and if so how is it accessed) if not when should we expect to see it included ?

Thanks

Mailenable usage statistics

Hi, Is there yet a service within mailenable professional that keeps stats of the mail sent and received through the server ?? We have 2 mail servers one Mailenable one Smarterstats and Smarterstats offers a full stats service via a .NET service that you can query externally for full statistics on a...

100% cpu dllhost.exe

Hi, Am having a real problem with mailenable - every time I log into the server the cpu is at 100% and it stays there indefinitely. The process at 100% is dllhost.exe under user IME_ADMIN - presumably this is the webmail site. If I end the process it may or may not immediately restart another dllhos...

I'd give it an 8 out of 10 - we actually moved to Mailenable from iMail a couple of months ago moving a few thousand users / mailboxes at the time. Mailenable matches or exceeds iMail in nearly every area, plus you don't have to pay an additional fortune for spam / virus checking as it's built right...

Running SMTP and mailenable together (and installing cdonts) really isn't hard, just install smtp service go in to it's properties and set it to listen on port 26 - that's it - probably quicker than recoding a load of asp scripts to be honest.

You do need reverse dns set up for the mail server IP address, doesn't matter too much what it reverses as. However, this isn't what's causing the hotmail problems as our server has always had reverse dns setup and only recently have we seen this problem (since the last big MSN update a few weeks ag...

There are loads of issues with hotmail atm caused by hotmails own spam filtering system, there are big chunks of servermatrix / theplanet, ev1 / rackshack, serverbeach, nocster and many others that can't get mail through to hotmail accounts. I wouldn't worry too much about this being your setup if y...

100% disagree. I love the fact that it's an open ended solution and we have the ability to use virtually any virus checker, personally I bought F-Prot ($50 year for 10 licenses) and it works great. All I had to do was install the software and turn it on in Mailenable - hardly rocket science and it w...

There's a huge known issue with Hotmail at the moment, they are using some internal spam filtering and it's causing problems for huge numbers of servers, somethimes mail will go through, sometimes it won't - there's no rhyme or reason to it and hotmail won't give any information. This is affecting s...

You should look at running a mailing list script through your web server, this uses a component (in the case of .asp - php has it's own methods) to create and send the mails out. Done this way each mail will appear as a single addressed mail rather than one mail addresses to many recipients. If you'...
