Forwarding e-mail during server migration

Hello, We are going to be migrating our server to a new server. We are unable to move the IP address with it. A KB article suggested we should set ME to forward e-mail to the new server during the DNS propogation period. How do we set up this forwarding? I didn't see an article on that. Thanks advan...

Migrating to new server

Hello,

I'm trying to migrate MailEnable from one server to another.

I'm using this document as the guide: http://www.mailenable.com/kb/Content/Ar ... D=me020073

Are there any issues with following these instructions if I'm moving from version 1.5012 to 1.74?

Thanks in advance.

Archiving incoming and outgoing e-mails

Hello, Is there any way (or maybe a plug-in) that keeps an archive of incoming and outgoing e-mails for user accounts? In other words, it wouldn't just keep a copy in the inbox of the account (the user may choose to delete the e-mails from the server after downloaded into Outlook). The archiver woul...

Hummm...

It's strange then.

When I create the account in Outlook, it has all sorts of problems. It says something about the server not being able to be connected to. When I create it as POP, there is no problem...

Hello,

I'm trying to experiment with IMAP.

When creating a new account, how do I specify that it is an IMAP account?

Thanks,

Question

How do you store .pst files on a server?

Our .pst files are local to the machine. Our company has about 5 employees that all work out of their home offices.

Does reading and writing to a remove .pst file really slow things down??

Using MailEnable as redundant backup

Hello, Here's the situation. We download our e-mail from MailEnable to Outlook. We'd like to keep a copy of all of our e-mails on the server (in the event that we lose the local Outlook .pst files). I know we can set Outlook to leave a copy of the message on the server, but if we do that, then when ...

Thanks.

From the MTA logs, it doesn't seem like it's going through our server.

Spoofed domain name

Hello, In the last few days, it seems like a lot of spam is going out to people with a bogus e-mail address (the domain name at the end is ours). So, we're getting the bounce-backs. 1) Are these e-mails going through our mailenable server?? 2) Any way to block them? 3) Is this called "spoofing"? Tha...

Importing messages

Hello, We are going to be migrating to a new server soon. Both servers have MailEnable installed them. The server we are migrating from has some message stores on it that we'd like to have over on the new server for obvious reasons (i.e., people want their saved e-mails). How do we get those message...

Question

paarlberg,

Would this still apply if they were copying one e-mail address at a time (and sending the e-mails individually)?

Hi Ben,

Outlook was the client.

It actually bounced 9 out of 10 (separate bounce back for each e-mail sent).
