Thanks for getting back to me - the ClamD route is the one I've come up with this morning too... although how have you integrated it with ME? Presumably you're calling the clamdscan.exe somewhere... The default list of AV solutions i've got doesn't list it?!

Yes - I have! It's been hogging 100% CPU and driving me crazy... did you find any way to use 6 without the CPU utilisation?

Corrupted emails

I have a client, based in Japan, who says that some of their emails are coming through corrupted. Not being able to read Japanese i'm finding it quite hard to work out whether it's something on my server or on their machines. They've had one or two English emails that are corrupted and it looks like...

DNS Blacklisting - checking Spamcop, but it's not enabled?

I've enabled DNS Blacklisting on my server, with ORDB and Spamhaus on sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org both enabled, but it also seems to be checking SpamCop too... it's marked as disabled in Mailenable?

any ideas why?

Just wondering if this has been looked at at further, or has been included in MailEnable yet - as it seems like it would be relatively easy to include this URL on SBL functionality as an extra to the current DNS Blacklisting. It would solve lots of my problems too :)

That knowledge base article worked really well thanks - although it has slowed webmail down a bit :(

Just a quick question though, with the v2.0 .net webmail, will there be such size limits and slowdown or is it being designed in such a way that it will run faster with bigger inboxes?

It is currently intermittent - some messages display in the inbox and some don't... its weird!

No... it's not that!

The list is by date order and these messages are just plain missing...
not listed at all....

Webmail not showing all messages in inbox?!

Hi, I'm using MailEnable Professional v1.6 and one of my users is reporting not receiving messages. I've looked into this and it appears that the messages are getting delivered to their inbox folder, but they're just not appearing in the webmail list. I've tracked the message through the logs and ev...

I've narrowed this down a bit further actually... it doesnt appear to be the archive as i thought!! Out of the 4 eicar test files on the website its actually the eicar.com.txt file that it isnt detecting - as it seems to be checking on name and file extension and not looking in all files!!! The comm...

F-Prot

I've just got F-Prot for my server and got it up and running according to the instructions in the Mailenable Knowledgebase. I've now downloaded all the 4 eicar test files from www.eicar.com and done the command-line test described in the MailEnable KB... but it doesn't pick up the virus double-zippe...

He he - to be honest though i'd prefer to give them some more of my money and get a stable bit of software rather than a buggy bit... but saying that, it would be nice to get some kind of update on timing....

Virus Notification Messages

When you select AntiVirus in the MTA properties, there's the option of sending an email virus notification message, both back to the sender and also to a specific email address. Is there a way of customizing the email at all? Its fine for informing me of the virus but if i want the email to inform t...
