You do not want to use that feature. (I wished ME would remove it.) Almost all the major viruses today "spoof" the senders address so replying to the sender is really trageting the wrong person.

Any admin enabling that feature on any mail/av configuration is a bad admin. ;)

Any ideas on how to pull several months of log files using the new file? Take the current MailEnable Data File and rename it to "mailenable.old" and in the awstats.mailenable.conf file, rem out the top line that is the log file format. Then cut and paste this into a new batch file and run it. It wi...

Here is my much simpler batch script which works from a scheduled task and does not require anyone logged in to the console or remote desktop. You need 3 utilities for this project. wget - http://xoomer.virgilio.it/hherold/ DateSet - http://powerusers.info/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=...

The latest viruses use encrypted or password protected ZIP files. No AV scanner can handle those. You are better off stripping all zip attachements.

MyDoom (crashes server?)

I am trying to figure out why a server keeps crashing for a customer. He is running MailEnable Standard and no AV protection on the server. The server itself has no MyDoom infection but there are 1000+ MyDoom infected e-mails sitting on the MailEnable post office. The server is randomly crashing eve...

One, check you DNS records at http://www.dnsreports.com as that can many times help you with issues. If you are still stuck, send me an e-mail to Jim[at]AlertServ.com and mention your issue. I work full-time in K-12 Support and what seems like full-time for my server management company and can give ...

Helm can do that. Helm can do single/stand alone servers or can work is a distributed environment where websites are on one server and SQL is on another and ME is on its own server.
