If I'm not mistaken, all ME does is flag an email. I don't think it actually prevents or deletes messages. I could be wrong on this, but it's my understanding that you require a MTA plugin to act upon the SPF flag.

I fail to see why this would be a dirty trick. Ya, me too. If you're upset that they have re-worked webmail for newer version, that's one thing, but it's not a dirty trick. Maybe you have lost sight of the fact that Enterprise costs a lot more. Plus it's NEW. You would be better off to be nice, and...

Install the AntiVirus software, but disable the realtime scanner. Then import the registry settings that are posted above, and you should see a new entry in ME's Antivirus settings.

I've been running ME with eTrust for 8 months and it works great.

Here are a couple more solutions, I use the first method. 1) create the subfolder /Webmail Then in IIS you can mark that folder as "redirect" to another URL, and enter the /MEWebMail url. 2) a quick little ASP script. Create a file in /WebMail called default.asp and in it add the following line of c...

Re: Webmail additions

I am suggesting to add a feature in webmail for the sender alias. I use webmail more than Outlook, and I would like the reciever to see my name rather than my address. Another thing I would like to see added is a Global Contacts list of everyone on the server, much like that of Exchange Server. Thi...

Out of the box Windows Server 2003 doesn't install IIS, and once you install IIS you need to tell it to allow dynamic content (ASP) otherwise it will just do static (HTML) pages. I would suggest you start looking here. Try dropping a HTML file in the root of your webserver and see if you can open it.

Start/Programs/Mail Enable/System Tools/Backup Utility I don't see this with my installation of the free version? All I can suggest is that it may not be included with the standard version. Although I find that odd, since it is used in the upgrade process. Perhaps you have an older version where th...

From my expereince it does that no problem. I have a couple accounts that I use the HTTPmail on. So I can check them while visiting a clients office without plugging my laptop into their network. Once I return to the office, I connect from Outlook and everything is good. If you want the True "Exchan...

Ohhhh. Now that makes sense. It was testing things, and both seem to have the same power and control. So it makes sense that it's meant for enterprise version.

Thanks!

Interesting. I wouldn't expect any of those programs to have a conflict with ME. Any chance you have some in-house web applicatoins on that server? Maybe something done using COM? Also, what kind of volume are you putting through ME? I wonder if that might be the difference. Not sure how to check th...

there is a utility in the downloads section that allows you to force a skin on a site.

Create a new virtual site in IIS, then use ME to attach webmail to it, and then use the tool to force a skin on it.

err... interesting. I always logout, and I do 99% of my work remotely. I am almost never standing in front of the server.

Have you installed any other applications?

I don't have a Global.asa file in any of the MailEnable ASP folders.

What version are you running? What OS? and Did you install the webmail to the default location? Or have you made any changes in IIS with regardes to webmail?
