Mail Enable AND CDONTS are not mail clients

Mail Enable = Email Server(s) Suite

CDONTS = Programmatic sending of email

independant of each other.. if you are using IIS 6 and the .Net Framework you dont use CDONTS.. you use System.Web.Mail

i believe its the users option inside of the webmail package.. Or if they are using a client (Outlook), then why would you want to do it anyway?

Currently, you can set a server wide setting for mail message size limits... BUT ITS IN THE SMTP CONNECTOR settings.. Does that make sense? Yes for outgoing email through the SMTP.. but not for incoming mail from another SMTP... that should logically be taken care of in the POP3 server no? The reaso...

you COULD... theorhetically.. set up a separate SMTP server on a different port.. and block that port off to incoming connections, then use that as your open relay for internal use only.. setup your scripts to use that as the default SMTP server for commands...

You either

a) have to setup a script that uses sockets and authenticates...

or

b) setup your local IP to be the only allowed relay w/o authentication

this works.. find the cdonts dll for ISAPI.. and register it properly and then cdonts will work ... :)

otherwise you have to use CDOSYS
