"This mail server requires authentication before ....&q
We use a 3rd-party SMTP server (authsmtp.com) and occassionally, outgoing emails are CC'd back to us. Since switching on the 'Prevent Sender Address Spoofing' (which drastically reduced our incoming spam), CC'd emails send via authsmtp are now being rejected by MailEnable because when they see it is...

Blocking outgoing emails with a specific subject ?
It appears someone has found a security hole in a shopping cart script on our server and is sending spam emails through it. Until we fix the problem, is there a way of blocking any server generated emails with a specific subject ? All the spams have the same subject ...

We already have SPF enabled - not too sure how much it is helping but I'm getting about 50 emails a day where the FROM/TO is the same/our domain. I wasn't too sure which SMTP log you wanted data from so this is from the Connectors > SMTP > Logs > Activity: 12/17/08 21:39:39 SMTP-IN 4B173F18614F40669...

'Prevent sender address spoofing' not working
I have a big problem with spam emails which have identical to/from address , supposedly from local domains. So I switched on the 'Prevent sender address spoofing' but it did not fix the problem: I am still getting emails TO/FROM me@mydomain.com (where mydomain.com is a local domain). Why didn't this...

Filter emails where TO: & FROM: are the same
I would like to add a message header to any incoming email where the TO & FROM are identical. I'm guessing that I would have to use a script to do this as there isn't anything appropriate in the Filters - correct ?
If so, how difficult would it be to write a script like this ?

Problem with MEFilter whitelist/blacklist
I have a problem with the Whitelist/Blacklist feature intermittently not working in MEFilter. For example, a whitelisted email address still gets caught by one of the other MEF spam filters, resulting in the email not being delivered. I have checked the MEF log and there is no "EMail is from a 'Glob...

Setting up with ASPEmail
I am running Standard 1.9 integrated with Plesk and ASPEmail 5.0.0.4 I have set Relay in MailEnable to 'Allow relay for authenticated servers' and have checked 'Mailenable/Integrated authentication'. Then in my ASPEmail script I have used the Mail.Username = "xx" & mail.PassWord = "xx" commands to p...
