Re: 'Prevent sender address spoofing' not working

Thanks for taking the time to respond. At the time I posted that, I was being inundated with spoofed emails - thousands per day - and it was very frustrating to not be able to block or flag them. I have since added the MxScan utility for ME and that helped cut the spam dramatically. But things can a...

Problem found and fixed :)

After a little research, I found the solution to my problem. Here it is in a nutshell... When you run .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 simultaneously, you *must* run them in different Application Pools. So BOTH the WebMail and WebAdmin sites must be updated to .NET 2.0 because both are in the MailEnableAppPool...

Yes, I'm asking for HELP

Depending on what version you had before or if you didn't have any previous version you may have to set up or use ME's application pool. I guess I was not clear... I've been using ME for many years, and have upgraded the version many times. I also upgraded from Professional to Enterprise a few year...

Webmail Screwed after 3.61 Intallation

I am unable to get Webmail working again - it is one problem after another. I have clients working a film festival right now and they NEED webmail access, so I need this fixed ASAP. Here is where I am now... I updated to ME 3.61 last week - no problems - webmail worked fine. Last night my Windows 20...

I have another filter called 'Ham', which does the following 1) Process for ALL messages 2) Forward message to 'Ham@mydomain.com' Including 'incoming' messages would feed the dictionary lots of Spam, because the current filters are NOT 100% accurate, which is why you are setting up the dictionary! ...

Troubleshooting

I'm getting the error out when at this line. IF %ExcessHam_Count% GTR 0 ( The error: 0 was unexpected at this time. I cannot say what is causing this error? The message doesn't make sense because '0' IS a valid 'count' value -- ie, there is nothing wrong with this equation: ' IF 0 GTR 0 ' - it woul...

Re: Revised Script

Michael Kenny wrote: I made a modification to the script... Instead of moving the excess messages to the old folders, never to be processed, I changed the script so that it moves them to an "excess" folder. Then next time you run the script it will move them back to the "new" folders IF your server ...

Re: Script Problem

Hutch, First, ensure you have added the registry entry described in the instructions. Without this, the counter will not work! (But I don't think this is the problem else you would get a count of "1" and not "0") To deal with directories that have a space in them, add quotes around the 'file path'. ...

Bayesian Filter Training Script

For the best system if you wanted to make an advanced script you could compare the total of spam and ham messages before adding to the dictionary then only add the total of the least amount for each type. Ask and you shall receive! 8) Here is a revised and simplied script. There are 2 new capabilit...

i turned off the auto training and used this script to process the dictionary. i got the script from MailEnable - Ben . FYI, I have tried 'manually' merging Spam & Ham EXACTLY as this script does. The dictionary STILL would not update! However I am going to keep trying - but will have to give up on...

Baysean Dictionary Never Changes

Thanks for the suggestion 'aspportal'. However I have stopped and started the MTA service many times, including full reboots. The 'active dictionary' is always held 'in memory' and is only 'written' to the dictionary file when the MTA exits or when you issue a command telling it to write to file. Th...

New Webmail from Scratch is Great Idea

ALLPRO, once MailEnable releases the API for the .NET Webmail I am planning on developing my own web interface, and will probably setup a project out on sourceforge.net, so everyone can contribute to making the webmail feature alot better. :D This is a great idea. Someone needs to take the time ini...

Why Not Make WebMail Source Code Available?

I have had to long since abandon the version 2 Webmail client, and return to using version 1.x. At least in the the old ASP version I can 'fix' problems like this and enhance it where I need to. It's bad enough the .NET version is still as poorly designed as the old version, but it is disappointing ...
