Re: ME Standard 8.xx and AVG Internet Security 2015

Installed MESpamC and Jam Spamassassin.

Tweaked MESpamC to deliver Spam messages to a certain email address for Admin to view in case they are mis-marked.

Actually, i removed AVG IS and installed AVG free. Its actually scanning them emails correctly. I was shocked that its working. I also have SpamAssassin working properly too.

ME Standard 8.xx and AVG Internet Security 2015

Has anyone got this to work together?

I have this in MTA "C:\AVG\avgscanx.exe"

Not sure what else to put but, it's definitely not checking the emails.

Internal LAN Server

ok, I know this has probably been asked before...

How can I make Mail Enable a LAN only Mail Server?

I do not want to send Email outside to the Net.

Did you try "localhost" or Machine name? That how I started my ME standard version. I pointed my Mail server clients to the IP address of the machine running ME on my LAN.

Try a different Email Client. Sounds like you have an Email client problem, not Mail Enable.

ME Standard doesn't do IMAP... only POP and SMTP. The paid versions have IMAP.

What type of system are you using? Apache? OS?

Sorry, haven't been on this site in awhile.

No, no idea. It works fine on my system (Win2k Pro, Apache, PHP 4.xx) I'd say ask the experts, but, their site was hacked and they turned off their forums.

I'm not sure, but, are you running PHP5?
