Topic: POP Service Crashes when using a database.

We have had problems with the POP service for several years. MailEnable tried to help us, but they failed. We run ME Enterprise 2.x on Windows Server 2003 och use MS SQL database on another server. The two servers are behind two different firewalls and on two different c-nets. When we configure ME t...

Can you take a look at (Clear deleted items on Log Out) setting. This is no longer clearing out my deleted items folder when checked.

Thanks.

I'm sorry - this is what I mean some users are complaining about. Is this also fixed in 2.37?

Is it fixed in 2.37?

We also had this problem. The "Auto Signature Enabled"-flag was saved, but the Auto Signature text field was still empty. We are using the SQL server configuration, which means that all configuration data should be stored in the SQL server. Now we found out that the Auto Signature is still stored on...

We still have this problem. Really annoying. We have re-opened the support request and hope that ME will get back to us as soon as possible. We think it's the SQL communication process that stops when authenticating two users at the same time. It occurs about three times a week now. Is there any way...

Plus:
It is always the same 2-3 users! They are not using standard mail clients. One is using Thunderbird and one is using a mac client!

No, it actually did not fix it. We have reopened the support ticket too see what mailenable can do about it.

When we check the POP log files we see the exact same behaviuor before every stop: A user is checking two accounts! Do you see this?

I have now looked at many POP log files, and I always see the exact same behaviour before the POP service stopped responding. Below are two examples: 12/08/05 09:30:10 POPS 812 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx +OK+Welcome+to+MailEnable+POP3+Server 39 0 12/08/05 09:30:10 POPS 864 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx +OK+Welcome+to+MailEn...

I have now been able to reproduce the behaviour. During heavy file transfer load, the POP service stopped. I think we copied files at a 20-30Mbps speed from the mail server and the POP service stopped. The copying was performed over the "normal" NIC. The SQL communication is done over a secondary NI...

Ok, I have the exakt same behaviour. The POP service just stops. The only trace of it is that the POP logfiles are empty during the stop. It has happened about 4 times the last two months. I'm running Windows Server 2003 Web Edition and MSSQL on a dedicated SQL server. F-prot is also used. No change...

I have the same no 2 problem as Greg. Now and then customers complain about this. They get: ------- Your Mailbox has exceeded its quota and a message from [SMTP:xxxx@xxxx.com] was rejected. Please clean your mailbox and ask the user to re-send. -------- When they check their mailbox, it is totally e...

Yes! I started a thread a while ago, where I mentioned exactly this. Russian spam is getting through and it seems impossible to teach the filter.

Yes, I know. What I really want is Ben to say "Yes, in our next release we have implemented this".

I don't want to spend hours and days setting up a third-part spam-solution. I want it out of the box.
