Re: ASSP & LDAP

I would be interested to know the specifics of your projects too, it could come in useful.

Thanks,

Re: ASSP & LDAP

After a little experimentation I found a solution that works, so I'll post it in case anyone else needs this. I am using ME 4.22 Enterprise Premium, and ASSP 1.7.1.2. My setting for ME's LDAP is: Source: All E-mail Addresses To make ASSP do LDAP lookups on Mailenable Enterprise, here are the setting...

ASSP & LDAP

I posted this in the Enterprise area as well, but I thought I would put it here so others might see it too. Hello, I have upgraded recently from 2.x Mailenable Enterprise to 4.22 Enterprise Premium. We have ASSP working in front of Mailenable working as expected, but I saw that Mailenable now has LD...

ASSP & LDAP

Hello, I have upgraded recently from 2.x Mailenable Enterprise to 4.22 Enterprise Premium. We have ASSP working in front of Mailenable working as expected, but I saw that Mailenable now has LDAP lookup so I wanted to configure ASSP to do lookups. So what I wanted to know is does someone have this wo...

MAPI & Shared Calendars

Is the mapi connector supposed to work with shared calendars? I can see the shared appointments under the webmail just fine, but I couldn't see them come up in Outlook with the MAPI connector. I tried clicking on "Open Shared Calendar" in Outlook and I couldn't get it to come up there either. We wou...

For those of you guys running ASSP, what did you use as your setup guide for getting things started?

What kind of info did you need to port over? (Whitelists, blacklists, etc)

What do you end up turning off in ME? (Like the virus, bayesian, MERO, etc.)

Thanx

There are some VB scripts on the MEFilter forums under the "Scripts and Other Useful Stuff" area. One of them is an autowhitelisting script. Here is a link to the post for it: http://mefilter.com/cs/forums/t/1054.aspx I don't know if you can get there without registering in that forum though. What t...

Here read this:

http://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/vi ... D=ME020217

it shows how to create an attachment filter, but the same basic principles apply, so you can just change it however you want

You can setup a filter to do it. I did it i for a Ham message store, but it could be used for other things like email auditing as well. The filter I have is a default filter I selected "When a user authenticates" and make it forward a copy of the message to a specific email box. As long as you have ...

Well, the mx twice in the string is actually not twice. It is just kind of covering his bases. Let's say we have domian1.com and domain2.com. The outbound smtp is setup as mail.domain1.com. That domain is setup properly with mx and probably an spf of: v=spf1 a mx -all domain2.com's spf would want to...

moegal, I don't think you can send from multiple IP's on the same server at this time. The outbound smtp can only be bound to one IP AFAIK. However reading this post jogged my memory about another post I read some months back with a how-to on how to get different domains to show up on the outbound. ...

I dig a little deeper and I find something kind of odd. I looked in the mdb and sorted by threat level, so I pick an enrtry that is at a -4 threat level and I find where it says it was "last modified" and it says 4-10-07. So I look in the log from 4-10-07 and I search for the IP to see where it appe...

Does anyone have an index of what the threat levels represent in the mdb? I want to manually clear out some entries as I am reaching almost 27,000 and it seem like it is taking a lot longer to process the table. I have looked over quite a few of the logs as well and I don't see where MERO has ever d...

In the filter section in the MMC create a new filter. When you are configuring the filter it has 2 options that are radial buttons, the first is "Use standard criteria" and that lets you pick from the pre made scripts. Then there is "Use criteria script" and then the "Edit script" button becomes sel...
