Re: Upgrade 1.x Pro to 8.x Standard
Great, I will upgrade to the latest Pro, that will make it easier if I want to downgrade to Standard.

Re: Upgrade 1.x Pro to 8.x Standard
according to the KB, all Pro or better features will be disabled after trial. http://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/ar ... D=me020149
Is that still the case with 8.x?

Re: Upgrade to 8.55 issues
I tried one last thing..
I reset the password for IME_ADMIN
Updated the user for MailEnableAppPool with the new password.
I then got a logon screen. Something went belly up in the upgrade and it either didn't set the pw correctly or couldn't.

Re: Upgrade 1.x Pro to 8.x Standard
Would I be able to keep the original registry settings? I run ASSP in front of ME on the same box, I had to adjust the SMTP ports and many other settings that are stored in the registry. In the past, you could install the Pro version and if you didn't add a license key within x number of days it wou...

Re: Upgrade 1.x Pro to 8.x Standard
I just tried the upgrade and it failed as you can't upgrade an older version of Pro to 8.55 Standard. I would have to uninstall the Pro first according to the message I received. Is there any way around this error? The only reason I had pro before was for IMAP and webmail, now they are included with...

Upgrade 1.x Pro to 8.x Standard
Has anyone done this? If so, were there any issues? I am running older versions (Pro 1.87 and Standard 3.x) on several servers for clients and wanted to update them.

Re: Webmail semi-functioning
It was an upgrade from version 5. The previous did not have webmail enabled. The client wanted to add webmail so they could setup out of office replies without calling me every time.

Webmail semi-functioning
I just installed ME Standard 6 on Win2008 R2. Everything is installed and seems to be functioning except for Webmail. I get to the logon screen and it is missing all the graphics and buttons for logon. The form fields are there. Due to the missing buttons, I am unable to logon to webmail. Not sure i...

I just saw the stats for an implementation of ASSP by Mike (BrandywineIT). You would not believe me if I told you how much it blocked. In 5 days the server had almost 2 million SMTP connections, only 300 odd e-mails were valid. The rest were spam, that is a 99.999825 catch rate with 350 good e-mails...

For ME support team: If the IME_SYSTEM and IME_STORE_GROUP accounts exist on a server, does the install routine see it and then skip setting permissions on the registry and folders? I had installed v3 on this server prior as we were considering moving to v3 as part of the migration. We decided to st...
