having a problem with pop3
my mail server has been rock solid until today. For some reason my pop3 service just started flaking out. When my mail client tries to connect, it says the pop3 server can not be reached. I have to stop and restart the pop services on the server before it takes hold again. I've noticed a few times o...

mail not being downloaded from server (pop3)
I have about 6 post offices set up all with different domains. If I look in the MMC for mailenable I can see that some of the mailboxes have mail in them. However, if I try to pop to those boxes, nothing comes down. Likewise when I look in the webmail, they do not show up. This is only happening for...

filter question for spam probability
I just set up a filter (tried to make it work with MEFilter but I'm giving up on that) and noticed that there is a critera that says "Where the message has over a certain spam probability". How is that assessed? I set it to 90% to give it a shot and sent myself some dummy emails from gmail that were...

I looked through the forums but there is no basic setup guide...nor is there on their web site. I posted...

reverse dns lookup
I don't quite understand the whole reverse dns lookup thing, but my understanding is that some mail servers won't accept mail if the ip from which it's being sent doesn't reverse lookup to the domain of the email??? if that's the case, is there a way to specify which ip address to send emails out of...

I'm thinking about stepping up and buying the professional..
version, but I want to know: does the pro version allow for unlimited post offices? does the free version? I will buy the pro even if the free version does because I want the webmail feature. having multiple domains under one post office just seems really cheesy to me. If the pro version does not al...

smtp authentication except from localhost
I am setting up this mail server on a web server of mine and I'd like to require smtp authentication for anyone sending out email unless the email is coming from localhost (from my web sites). is this possible to do? also as a side question, is there a limitation to the number of domains and/or emai...
