Re: EAS licensing server is down 12 hours and counting and still no word from ME

I kinda found the problem. It appears my upstream DNS provider could not find the ME license server for some reason and changing one of the DNS servers to google fixed it. Not my preferred solution but it worked. It didn't occur to me that this was a DNS issue as I've never seen this problem before....

Re: Time limit for logging

Thanks for getting back to me CF. I checked that and the only option is how many days I can keep the logs unarchived. The default is 45 days. I believe it compresses them into .cab files but it doesn't allow me to purge logs after a set period.

I have logs going back to 2016!

Time limit for logging

Hi there,

Is there a way to limit log retention to 30 days, for example? IMAP logs consume an enormous amount of space and there likely isn't any good reason to keep more than 30 days worth of logs for IMAP or any of the other services.

Thanks

google screws up email for many - now requires SPF, maybe DKIM

Hi there, Gmail made a change and started rejecting email from any domain which doesn't have an SPF record, most of the time. Adding SPF sometimes fixes the problem and those with existing SPF seem to be OK. But it doesn't always work - figures. This is gmail afterall. Adding a DKIM record seems to ...

The client received an invite from a gmail account and she Accepted the invite. There's no more detail I can add to that.

Re: Renaming post office utility does not work

Thanks Ian. There's 7 accounts, none to large in terms of email.

Will this work even if all mail services are on or should they be turned off? Turning off mail services for an hour is a long stretch, even in the wee hours.

Renaming post office utility does not work

Hi there, I'm trying to rename a post office and the post office renaming utility does not work. It works for a bit then shows Not Responding at which time I have to kill it. I tried a few times. IPv6 support

Hi there, I can't view and remove IPv6 IPs from SMTP > Inbound > Access control Does ME plan to support that any time soon? I had to tell a client that I couldn't remove his IP from the list and I am pretty sure SMTP was being blocked for his IPv6 address. I told him he'd have to wait for it to expi...
