Thanks Andrew. I am relieved. If it was outbound then we would have a major problem.
Thanks for replying!

SMTP now limits senders to 1000 recipients per hour?
I noticed when I viewed the latest Release Notes for all ME releases since V6.03, that it mentions this: IMP SMTP now limits senders to 1000 recipients per hour by default. What exactly does that mean to me. Someone sending mail can only sent to 1,000 people per hour? That will not work for sending ...

Postoffice Connector Service Stopping
In the past few weeks the "Postoffice Connector" service has been stopping (4 times now). We have a 2-node cluster and this happens on both nodes (but at different times during the same day). I checked all ME logs and it shows nothing. The SF log just stops logging entires at the point when the serv...

Intercepting and post processing of SMTP Mail
Would anyone know if it would be possible to intercept the incoming mail, edit the mail then allow it to flow out to the Smart Host for delivery? What I want to do is to look at a custom SMTP message header and based on that value call a routine to translate the message body into another language us...

Hung SMTP and high CPU sending while sending mail out
We are using Enterprise V4.12. We can not upgrade at the moment for various internal QA and upgrade procedures we have. I've had another problem with the ME software again in which mail does not go out. No one realized that and mail was stuck since last Wednesday until this AM. People are now upset ...

Re: Throttling outbound SMTP messages
Can't. Mail is sent from a 3rd party application that we have no control of how it sends it.MailEnable-Ben wrote:You are better off controlling this in the script or program you are using to send.

SMTP Inbound Queue Not polling Or Queue Removed
Help, I have about 800 msgs in the inbound queue and the "POLLED" time keeps counting up. If I restart the MTA, the Poll time resets to 0 and some of the queue entries get processed but then stops again the the Poll time counts up. I have no Pickup Events on the system. Virus Checking is turn off. N...

MTA service on 2-node cluster. How should it act?
I have a two node cluster running ME Ent V3.14. The message store was on a SAN drive and the two node pointed to it. I had problems with timeouts to the SAN and until recently I had one node's MTA service shutdown. The SAN hardware and configuration was modified and I no longer see the timeouts. So ...
