It stopped updaing but I was able to write a script and schedule it every 4 hours so it now gets updated. Avast Anti-virus, Content filtering, IP blocking, Spam...

Re: Outlook 2016 configuration
create your account through the control panel and you will have the option to set up an account manually. You then have the active sync option.

Message Route Trace Utility
My message trace utility does not show any files in the date drop down. I didn't use the default location for the logs. Is there a way to get the utility to point to the right folder?? or is there another problem I'm not seeing?

Re: Fighting Hackers
I did. But RDP blocks ip addresses automatically and hackers/spammers change computers and IP addresses all the time so I like the automatic block.
Now, parsing the log files for ehlo and failed logins sounds like a good idea for automatic blocking, hmmm...

I have the exact "EHLO ylmf-pc" using serveral ipaddress daily. I use RDP Guard to block the IPaddress.

Re: Auth Policies under Local Host Properties.
for what is worth. Since it is an option to prevent authentication Mailenable should prevent it from the get go. If a user doesn't want anyone from somewhere to not authenticate prevent them the first time. I don't understand the logic. Block it. You don't have to keep tabs on it. If it is from a co...

Auth Policies under Local Host Properties.
I have enabled "country authentication restrictions" and "Only connections from the countries selected below can authenticate." I have selected United States as the only option. I still get multiple attempts from other countries until they have tried too many times then the ip gets blocked. It doesn...

Re: MUST FIX NOW
Just curious,
Did you do an in-place upgrade or re-format and start from scratch. Mine was a completely new computer. installed from scratch.
I copied the config directory and the post offices from the old server.

Been operating with a new server for two weeks with NO problems with Active sync. I did not upgrade because of the crashing I upgraded for speed, memory, di...
