Re: Upgrade from 3.6 to 6 - Memory useage comparison?

XP is 32bit and will only use 3.25gb of ram if you fit 4gb to the machine. Ive found fitting 3gb is the best you can do really. Windows 7 32bit will recognise 4gb, but i think thats more of a programming 'fix' by MS myself. If you want to use more, you need to go to a 64 bit OS like windows 7 64bit ...

Re: Upgrade from 3.6 to 6 - Memory useage comparison?

Thanks for that Ben. No IMAP in use, mainly POP3 or SMTP smarthost. A few people use webmail too but not many.

Will probably give it a go next week then.

Upgrade from 3.6 to 6 - Memory useage comparison?

Hi All, Im currently running version 3.63 with MXScan. Its dealing with 53 post offices containing about 500 email addresses and we process about 20,000 messages a day. The main memory use on the server at the moment is the MXScan related stuff and ME is pretty light. I'm wondering if version 6 will...

Mass redirection or import redirection list?

Hi there, I have a customer who wants us to provide redirection of about 1200 mailboxes across 10 domains. I have looked at the import functions can can see its going to be easy to have the system set up all the required mailboxes and email addresses, but is there a way to set up the redirection of ...

Re: MXScan for Mailenable (AntiVirus and AntiSpam Plugin)

That is the Setting DEP is already on, any other thoughts? Is there any other logging i should be using to try and track down whats causing this? Never had a problem with MXScan before and im really not sure what could have caused this to start happening as the server isnt used for anything else and...

Thanks for the reply. Yes its a mailing list and it shows the from address as "antenna-discussion-bounces@antennex.com; on behalf of; Tim Reed [timm@gmail.com]" for example. I will try whitelisting the IP address! Thanks for your help.

MX Scan white list problem

Im trying to whitelist items that are sent to me via a mail list. I have added the domain of the list to both the sender and recipient whitelists but everything is still being flagged as possible spam. The only thing i can think is that the list sends mail 'on behalf of' so could this be the problem...

Great, thanks very much for the quick reply.

Love MX Scan by the way. Saved me having to buy a new server as it handles everything much more efficiently than the system it replaced! Filtering about 10,000 items a day and killing about 80% of it :)

Whitelisting an odd address in MX Scan

Hi there, i have a customer who uses blackberry. They tell me that some sort of configuration message is being marked as possible spam and this stops the blackberry from doing whatever it needs to do with it. Trouble is it seems to be a dynamic address the mail comes from and has several sub domain ...
