Training the baysian filter

Has anyone tried training the filter by forwarding emails to a 'spam' mailbox, or will this give negative score on the senders and not the content. The senders will be authenticated so i can save them with the rule to always allow their mail, but would that allow them to be processed for training? T...

Re: saving attachments on server

Sorry.

I never touch .net
But if you follow what I did on php, you need a library that will separate the parts of the email into header and attachements.

I only use php and coldfusion, although I will have to convert my app to VB sometime to increase the throughput.

Re: Intercepting and post processing of SMTP Mail

Not very good.

I had to research and develop from a bit of trial, playing and error.

The documentation does give you an idea of what is going on. Read about the control file and the folders for the different operations, but after that you have to 'play' to learn exactly what goes on.

Re: saving attachments on server

Another challange for code in the MTA

You wuold need code to run in the MTA

The email comes as one file so you will need to 'take it apart' to extract the attachements.

Re: Intercepting and post processing of SMTP Mail

Yes, you grab it using the MTA You have to write code to be executed by the mta which will be called everytime an email needs 'moving' around the system. You can then determine if it is an smtp cal and whether it is comgin in or going out. then do whatever you need to do. My MTA gateway code current...

webmail timeout

Does anyone know how to change the timeout on the login for web mail.

I would rather it did not log people out, or at least waited a great deal longer.

Anybody seen the code to change for this???

thanks

Adding features to web mail

Guys,

I would like to add more code and functionality to the web mail interface.

The primary need will be to link the webmail with our archive application.

Has anybody played in this area, or seen any documentation on how to address this, or do Icarry on 'hacking'

Re: "Access is denied"

Check you smtp setting to see who is allowed to send email.
Common mistakes

not enabled password on smtp send for the client
On smtp settings at the server end you are not a valid sender

BTW this is not a developers questions
