Re: Emails disappearing.

You can check the audit log first to see what sort of client deleted or moved the email. The audit logs can be accessed through webmail or just directly on the server under: Mail Enable\Config\Audit\[postoffice]\[mailbox] It is possible there is another client connected at the time, or a client that...

Re: Users repeatedly asked for login

Make sure you don't have the account lockout feature enabled. This can cause this appearance. You can check to see whether a mailbox is locked out by double clicking it in the administration program to show the mailbox properties. Where the password entry textbox is will be an indication of whether ...

Re: Easy Question (Hopefull) MailClient from asp.net website

Is the website on the same server as MailEnable? Try using the following (i.e. changing the domain to localhost): <network defaultCredentials="false" host="localhost" port="25" password="PASSWORD" userName="USERNAME"/> Since the error is that is cann...

Re: Migration Utility

If you are migrating from a system where it uses the full email address as the username, you would need to configure the postoffice with the same name as the domain on the remote system, since you need to keep the same usernames for the users. By default the migration utility will use the full addre...

Re: damaged index of a mailbox ???

By "damaged" do you mean that the index is missing messages? Or you are getting some disk error? If the index file gets corrupted, it will be moved to _index.bad and a new index file generated. If there are errors with the indexing these will be logged to the Windows event log. So check th...

Re: IMAP Fetch not showing up

You can force the indexes to update and check for new messages by placing a file called _change.dty in the message folder on the server. An easy way to do this is to create a batch file with the following contents and run it: for /f "usebackq delims=|" %f in (`dir /b /s /A:D "C:\Progr...

Re: Mail forwarding to Gmail relay does not work

"The IP you're using to send mail is not authorized..." from Gmail indicates that the IP you are sending from is considered to be one that is prevented from running a mail server. Please see: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10336 So you may need to relay through your ISP mail server...

Re: composing new email from address is empty

This would normally mean that the mailbox does not have any email addresses associated with it. In the administration program, double click a mailbox and go to the "Addresses" tab. If there are no email addresses you can click the "Add Email..." button to add one.

Re: What's the option that fell off the bottom of the autoresponder tab?

The option is a version 9 option that is not available in v7 - it is the option to only respond between certain time. It should be hidden. It would not be the cause of the error, that is more likely to be the subject of the autoresponder. You can try downloading: https://www.mailenable.com/hotfix/ad...

Re: Forwarding not working

In the SMTP Activity log, check the "MAIL FROM:" for when the email is being sent out. Is it a local mailbox address, or still the original SMTP address from the inbound SMTP message?

Re: Prevent Smart Hosting for Local Domains

So all emails to local mailboxes are being sent out and not delivered locally? Possibly if you have used the MERoute utility this could happen, but you should be able to check by running the tracking utility in the administration program and following a message - the Debug logs would indicate why it...

Re: Folders and email disappear - Windows Update

Hi, Updated kits with a fix for this can be found at: http://www.mailenable.com/beta If you are using older versions of MailEnable (or do not want to install these kits) you should be able to resolve this by editing the web.config file in the Mail Enable\bin\Netwebmail directory and adding the follo...
