Re: NDR's not sent
Sorry, not sure what you mean. You are sending from a mailbox which is a catch-all and it does not receive an NDR? Have you enabled the option to only send NDRs to authenticated senders under the SMTP settings? We recently fixed a problem where if this was enabled, the SMTP service could change the ...

Re: AV Solution
I thought that they no longer have an option to license a server to check emails, without using their mail server product which only works with Microsoft Exchange. I will ask them and see if this has changed, or whether I have this wrong.

Re: if mailenable is transfered to new hadrware, do IMAP users require a resync?
IMAP uses the creation timestamp of the index for each folder. So if you preserve this, (which you should for all the files you migrate) clients won't normally resync. If you change client settings though, such as the server name the client connects to, the client will resync, since it will believe ...

Re: Timeout if idle for more than seconds for idle does not work
The time you are seeing in the list is the connection time, i.e. the time since the client connected. The IDLE time is the time the server will allow the IDLE command to go for. It is best to keep it at the default value - making it lower will probably put more load on a server since clients will ju...

Re: Webadmin logs
Hi, For the logs, they are filtered for the postoffice. So when you download them, the server will only extract the log lines relating to the postoffice you are logged into. You won't see the details for mailboxes in other postoffices. For the diagnostic, yes, you are right, it will only work for SY...

Re: Filtering at Server/Domain/User Levels not working
The postoffice and mailbox levels filters are for inbound emails arriving to a mailbox. So when an email is being delivered, it will process the postoffice level filters and then the mailbox filters. It does not apply mailbox and postoffice filters to emails being sent out by a mailbox in a postoffi...

Re: DNS blacklisting vs whitelists
Check the headers of the email received to see what it was send as. i.e. try checking Return-Path of the email and see if it matches what they have entered in the whitelist (and make sure it is not in the blacklist).

Can you check the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable]
"Use MIME Library"=dword:00000001
This needs to be set to 1, but you may have it set to 0 which will cause the problem.

Re: Update SSL certificate
MailEnable will load the certificate automatically, so you shouldn't need to do anything. Make sure SNI is enabled in the administration program under the SSL settings. The services will not be able to set permissions on the certificate though, so when the new cert is imported you need to make sure ...

Re: Illegal PostOffice Name
Open the POSTOFFICE.TAB file in the Mail Enable\Config directory in Notepad. The error still indicates there is a space character in a postoffice name. Check through the file to see if any of the names have a problem. Otherwise please send it to our "sales at mailenable.com" email address and they c...
