Re: Bug in 10.37: Top Tabs are unusable in webmail

This is being caused by mailboxes that have a background image configured. A fix is available for this at:

https://www.mailenable.com/beta

There is also a fix where if identities are being used in webmail it was not automatically selecting one when composing new message.

Re: Audit log: Login-Success.txt Report (last time accessed)

The following VBScript will do this, although the time will be in UTC. It needs to be run as 32bit. i.e. c:\windows\syswow64\cscript.exe showlogins.vbs example.com dim sPostoffice Set iArgs=WScript.Arguments If iArgs.Count > 1 Then WScript.Echo "Usage: Showlastlogin [postoffice]" WScript.Echo "Shows...

Re: SMTP Log shows =?utf as subject line

Sorry, the logs are just plain ASCII, and don't decode the headers. We don't want to make the log files UTF8 and have to convert different charactersets to this yet, so if you need to use the decoded text you'd need to a script/program to convert it, sorry.

Re: Thousands of AUTH LOGIN Attempts

Currently (and going back a couple of months) there is an IP range doing a huge amount of brute force login attempts on mail servers. For example https://www.abuseipdb.com/check/45.142.120.90. The abuse detection in the Pro and Enterprise versions will block the IPs, though you will still see the co...

Re: Global Address Book

The problem I recall was that Outlook does not access the GAL with EAS. There is a GAL lookup in the ActiveSync protocol, and you can do it on your phone/other clients, but Outlook didn't support it.

Re: Inbox Messages in Management Window

Since the population of this is slower than just displaying the mailbox list, it is disabled on a default installation. To change, in the administration program, right click on the Messaging Manager icon in the left pane and select Properties from the popup menu. Then click the Administration tab in...

Re: Problem with SSL certificate and SMTP connection

If you have configured an SSL port for a service, you will only get a black screen when you use Telnet to connect to it. So it is indicating it is likely working. To test SSL ports you are best to use something like OpenSSL, which gives you a lot of ability to diagnose connections, make sure they ar...

Re: Filter- Where the originating country does not match

Check that you have a file called countries.txt in the directory: Mail Enable\Config\GeoIPData This contains the country list it uses. If this file does not exist, or is empty, please reinstall MailEnable to correct it. Otherwise I can only think file permissions of your logged in user is preventing...

Re: X-ME-BADMAIL: CONNECTORTRANSFERERROR, Connector Transfer Error

This error indicates that the message could not be moved between queues by the MTA service. Check the MTA Debug log, it will have a line which includes "could not be transferred from" with an error code. The error code will be the Windows error code when copying files and will indicate the problem. ...

Re: NDR's not sent

Sorry, not sure what you mean. You are sending from a mailbox which is a catch-all and it does not receive an NDR? Have you enabled the option to only send NDRs to authenticated senders under the SMTP settings? We recently fixed a problem where if this was enabled, the SMTP service could change the ...

I thought that they no longer have an option to license a server to check emails, without using their mail server product which only works with Microsoft Exchange. I will ask them and see if this has changed, or whether I have this wrong.

Re: if mailenable is transfered to new hadrware, do IMAP users require a resync?

IMAP uses the creation timestamp of the index for each folder. So if you preserve this, (which you should for all the files you migrate) clients won't normally resync. If you change client settings though, such as the server name the client connects to, the client will resync, since it will believe ...
